Learning Disability Association of Ontario:  Assists people with learning disabilities and their families by providing support, guidance and up-to-date resource information.

Learning Disability Association of Halton-Hamilton:  Local chapter of the Learning Disability Association of Ontario. Provides individualized tutoring, keyboarding classes, assistive technology program, lecture series & workshops.

(IDA) International Dyslexia Association and International Dyslexia Association Ontario Branch:  Dedicated to providing information on dyslexia, supporting parents of children with dyslexia, and listing resources for parents, adults with dyslexia and professionals.  

Decoding Dyslexia – www.decodingdyslexiaon.org – A grassroots movement driven by families in Ontario who are concerned with the limited access to interventions for children with dyslexia in our schools.

Dyslexia Canada –  www.dyslexiacanada.org – a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to change for children with dyslexia in Canada. Their mission is to establish legislation in each Canadian province, specific to recognizing and remediating dyslexia in our public schools.

Reading Rockets is a U.S. multimedia literacy initiative offering information and resources on how young kids learn to read, why so many struggle, and how caring adults can help.

LD Online is a sister organization of Reading Rockets providing information about Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorder.

Understood.org is a group of 15 U.S. nonprofit organizations that have joined forces to support parents of the one in five children with learning and attention issues, including dyslexia.

CELA (Centre for Equitable Library Access) is a Canadian not-for-profit organization that provides books and other materials in accessible formats like audio, e-text and braille for people with a print disability, including dyslexia. Registration is free of charge with a public library card from a member library.
